Frequently Asked Questions

Home Care (like Everglow) provides non-medical support with daily living, companionship, and safety. Home Health is typically a short-term, doctor-ordered medical service involving nurses or physical therapists.

Absolutely. While these communities provide a wonderful baseline of support, many families choose to supplement that care with an Everglow professional to ensure their loved one receives dedicated, one-on-one attention.

No. Because we provide non-medical personal care, you can reach out to us directly to begin services at any time.

While we prioritize urgent needs, we typically begin with an in-home assessment and can often have a caregiver in place within 24 to 48 hours.

Yes. Your plan is designed to serve your family, not our agency. While we appreciate a week’s notice for permanent changes to help with consistent staffing, we understand that life is unpredictable. In the event of an emergency or sudden shift in needs, our coordinators will act swiftly to adapt the new schedule.

Our care coordinators or caregivers maintain a transparent line of communication, providing regular updates on your loved one’s condition, mood, and daily activities. These activities also recorded in the Daily Care  of Plan Binder that remains in the home at all times. This folder serves as a real-time record where our team logs every visit, including medication reminders, meal intake, and overall well-being.

Every Everglow caregiver is trained in emergency protocols, including basic First Aid and CPR. We maintain a "Client Emergency File" in every home that includes physician contacts, preferred hospitals, and medication lists for first responders.

Yes. Maintaining a strict medication schedule is a critical "Cognitive Anchor," especially as memory declines. Our caregivers provide consistent reminders and monitor for proper intake and potential side effects. While our non-medical professionals do not administer medication, they work in harmony with your healthcare providers to report any concerns.

Safety is our priority. Every Everglow caregiver undergoes a Washington State Patrol background check, a federal sex offender registry check, and a rigorous skills verification process.

Absolutely. Through our Select Your Caregiver program, a coordinator identifies a professional whose skills and personality align with your loved one’s unique needs. You’ll have the opportunity to meet them first, and care only begins once you and your loved one feel completely confident in the partnership.

Yes. We strive for consistency because we know that "Dignity and Respect" are built on relationships. We work hard to match you with a primary caregiver who stays with you long-term.

We understand that consistency is vital. If your primary caregiver is unavailable, our coordination team works to provide a qualified "backup" caregiver who is already familiar with your Plan of Care.

We understand that building a bond takes time, but your peace of mind is our priority. If at any point you feel the match isn't exactly right, simply contact our coordinator. We will listen to your feedback and introduce a new professional who better fits your needs and personalit

We offer flexible care plans starting at just 4 hours per visit.

To discontinue services entirely, we kindly request a two-week notice. For permanent adjustments to your schedule, such as reducing hours or days, a one-week notice allows us to transition our team while maintaining care continuity.

Currently, we accept Private Pay and all major Long-Term Care Insurance. Everglow is also in the active credentialing process to join several major healthcare insurance networks. If you would like to be among the first to know when we are officially in-network, please [Join Newsletter]. We will send out a full update to all our families and partners the moment these new coverage options are finalized.
